ESD Residential, Brooklyn
Recent work for the interiors of a new multi-family residential development in Brooklyn, New York will include the lobby, amenities, outdoor spaces, and the residential hallways.
The ongoing work started with the design of the lobby where a selection of simple but expressive materials; concrete, wood and rammed earth stand out as the character-giving elements of the space. The small well-lit lobby features a subtle color scheme.
Details such as slits in the walls, niches with accent lighting, calculated reflections, and a linear led light in the floor

abstract paintings by Tobit Roche were suggested throughout the hallway
The terrace features two zones, each with a fibreglass planter filled with herbaceous perennials, ranging from flowering plants to sturdy grasses.
The planters help frame each of these areas, allowing one to experience a bit of nature throughout the entire roof.
A “corner lounge” features a large chaise lounge, and the “border area” contains additional seating along with private dining.
